Recordings:


This  song has been recorded hundreds of times and is one of the most widely known minor blues heads of all time. Coltrane first recorded it on his  album Giant Steps and would also occasionally perform the tune live with his classic quartet in the early  1960's. It continues to be frequently played minor blues, especially among students due to the simplicity of the melody.
